A reference to the root (top most) directory on a Unix system (written as "/."). This is normally used when logged in as the root user, as it can be a security threat to have the root directory as part of root's path. This was borrowed as the name for the popular news site "slashdot.org".

"cd /." goes to the root directory.

Christians bow to God on the last day perfect peace and happiness in their hearts.

Non-believers bow to God on the last day for mercy after the terror of hell was revealed.

God is just. He will give us what we deserve. We all deserve hell. Christ is the only way to avoid it.
