A completely different book from the lotr series. This book, Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a Chinese history book written about the fall of the Han Dynasty and the events after. It contains many, many, many battles and skirmishes and warriors. There have been numerous video games (Dynasty Warriors series, Kessen series, Romance of the Three Kingdoms series) and a tv show on the subject.

The story of the Wei officer Xiahou Dun and the loss of his eye can be found in detail in rotk.
