Flat

(the flat/ flat of one’s feet)- A term used to describe how high the heels of the feet are in proportion to the ground while the balls of the feet are on ground during quadrobics.
My flat is 6.5 inches, I'm a women’s 5.

Crimp

The term is used for low stanced gaits in quadrobics, when the athlete’s elbows or knees touch the ground.
Crimps are common in gaits such as crouches.

Base Gait

One of three of the main gaits in quadrobics. They are taught and trained first, and are the most important and versatile gaits in the sport.

Step Ratio

When a set of steps in a gait occurs twice as fast on one (usually) horizontal half than the other.
This step ratio has my arms moving twice as fast as my legs.

Bounce

A type of jump set in quadrobics consisting of small, usually consecutive jumps, that occur immediately one after another.
The course included a few jumps and a set of bounces.

Jump Line (T)

The highest point of a jump, as recorded in traditional quadrobics— to measure how high the jump was. The jump line lies under the waist at midpoint. Jumps are measured at what height the person could theoretically jump over if their jump form allowed the hurdle to pass under the waist.
Jump line (T) is the point in a jump where your midpoint is.
