When leaders or institutions stage fake “accountability” (pressers, suspensions, task teams, morality talk) to look just while avoiding real consequences like charges, trials, or jail. A face-saving rinse that leaves the rot.
The party suspended the commissioner “pending investigation,” then did nothing for a year. Classic justicewashing.

After the corruption exposé, they announced a hotline and a “war on graft,” but no arrests—just justicewashing to calm the crowd.

Media spin turned a blatant racial-slur incident into a “misunderstanding.” That’s justicewashing of harm to dodge accountability.
