Stimmothy
The Helldivers 2, current name for the medical SEAF soldier (NPC) : Stimmothy
Identified as SEAF with Red medical backpack.
Originating from a mix of content and popculture slange in the Twitch.tv space/environment. Variety Streamers of a Millenial mindset have used terms like "Timmy" or "Jimmy" to refer to expendables, useless, downed or opposition of lower intelligence which can be either PC (Player Character) or NPC (Non-playable Character)
"Mothy" addition to a name creating a " Timothy or Jimothy" as the shorthand derived in humor from social media like places (Facebook circa 2000s) and later repurposed under Video Game Jargon or Lingo.
"Stimmothy originally existed as a name for players in the Helldiver 2 that favored the "Stim pistol" sidearm introduced in the Hazerdous Chemical Warbond. These players placed emphasis on LARPing (role-playing) in game as medics. At the time the stim pistol was not overly optimized and could be viewed as the "useless" option. Later the terminology was repurposed with the most recent game update "Devoid of Liberty" an illuminate focused campaign expansion with updated SEAF soldier (NPC) logic & tactics. One of which being a medic specialist in appearance.
"Mothy" now has a strong likelihood of relevance with recent cultural naming of "Jimothy" the raccoon in the gaming space.
