1 definition by TheOppugnant

A new term used to describe the foreign policy of modern America since 9/11, specifically aggressive rhetoric towards Iraq, Iran, Russia, China, and other Eastern nations, with American militaristic, cultural, and ideological imperialism enforcing this rhetoric

Also includes American interventionist policy in foreign wars, affairs, and diplomatic relations

Derived from the term "hawkish" but places it as an ideology rather than an attitude

Similar to militarism and imperialism but is specifically American - the opposite of non-interventionism
America has used terrorism and any other international growing power to justify hawkism - some would call it empire building
