Y-plate Law

A law in Japan that technically applies to everyone, but the local police only ticket SOFA members or Americans (those with a Y on their license plate). See also: Racism

Y: I thought it was illegal to park there.
A: Not if you're a local, that No Parking sign is just a Y-plate law.
