Oyster 

A slang word from California used to describe something good, exciting, or generally outside of the norm.

It comes from the presence of pearls inside of oysters, describing the excitement from finding something of value even in something as boring and rotten as an oyster or clam.

"I know this beach is usually a drag, but the waves were pretty oyster today!"

Slang for something or someone that exceeds or is below normal standards, whether cool or uncool depending on context.

"That is so oyster!"
"Ryan isn't very oyster."
"I can't lie, what Tom did today was pretty oyster!"
