A tired, sleepless condition acquired when you are kept awake all night by the barking of your neighbors' (or your own) dog.

Joe sure looks sleepy. His new puppy must have given him a case of barkolepsy.

scridget

The plastic or wooden bar, used at the checkout counter to separate orders of groceries.

At the checkout counter, I put the scridget between my groceries and those of the person in front of me.
