family celebrity

The family member who everyone seems to gravitate towards and is given many different opportunities because of the people he knows. Often sets usually difficult expectations for the rest of the family, making them resentful and afraid of judgement.

Random girl: Hey, have you seen -family celebrity name-? I need their help with this project...

You: No, I haven't seen them. But I can probably help.

Random girl: I'm sorry, but I really need -family celebrity name- to take a look at it.

You: It's okay. They're the "family celebrity" for a reason I guess.
