To gain goods or services otherwise unattainable by excessive overpayment.

The line to the club was wrapped around the block and we were eight drunk dudes deep, so Yost wallet whipped the shit out of the doorman and got us a table.

To pay someone off in order to gain access to a restricted area, receive information or attain vip service.

The restaurant was jammed, so we had to grease the maitre d to get a table.
