When a person turns a simple email into an ongoing discourse on the subject with ever-escalating levels of "clarification" with each reply-all. Often accompanied by a growing list of email participants.

I emailed him to ask if he wanted fish for dinner. It became a family hemail covering wild caught vs farm raised fish, commercial overfishing, and territorial waters. I just wanted to know if he wanted salmon or shrimp and now his mom isn't speaking to me. So, we're having soup.
