11th November
Remembrance Day.
The 11th of November is the national holiday in England called "Remembrance Day" where people gather together to remember those lost in WW1.
People will normally wear a poppy on their lapel, the reason for that is because after the Battle of Somme, the most brutal battles in WW1, was over, poppies started growing in that field, thus people wear them.
People also celebrate Remembrance Sunday, the Sunday right before Remembrance Day, and have assemblies in schools or Veterans meet up at graves to remember those lost.
