Veriforking

(Verb) The high-level art of pretending to conduct strict identity verification for a formal meeting or court proceeding, while in reality, everyone is entirely distracted by surreal side-channel chaos.
(Noun) A chaotic online video call where routine business (verifying individuals for the record) collides head-on with absurd personal grooming habits, wardrobe malfunctions, and irrelevant background flexes.
We didn't get anything verified today, it was pure veriforking between the cutlery grooming and the treadmill running.

I was supposed to verify three defendants for the 2:00 PM court docket, but Tim started forking his beard on camera and total veriforking broke out.

Origin & Etymology
A portmanteau born from the unholy union of two simultaneous virtual meeting occurrences:

Verifying: The actual job you are supposed to be doing (e.g., verifying identities for court records).

Forking: The practice of casually using a piece of dinner cutlery as a comb to brush one's hair or facial hair on camera pioneered by Captain Beard Fork
