Lying on a bed, couch, etc, usually with the guy lying behind the girl. Often a means of trying to arouse the girl without being too blatant, on the off-chance that spooning leads to forking.
"Have you hooked up with Michelle yet?"
"Nah, we were spooning on the couch watching Springer but she just wouldn't get around to forking."
