The Qarsherskiyan Cocoa River is a small river in Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA that flows out of Evans Lake and down the 180 feet cliffs and bottomlands into the Cape Fear River. It passes through a culvert under some train tracks and under a bridge near the Brown Jandura Mountain Bike Trail along the way to the river mouth at it's confluence with the Cape Fear River, near the Cape Fear River Trail.
The Qarsherskiyan Cocoa River has brown sediment in the water which can make it appear as flowing chocolate milk in downstream areas, while upstream it usually runs clear. It's close proximity to Qarsherskiyan Maroon Lake and Qarsherskiyan Maroon Swamp are noteworthy.

A term used for Qarsherskiyan people, some may find it offensive while others have embraced the term proudly and consider it a compliment.
"I have lived in the Sandhills of North Carolina near the bluffs overlooking the Cape Fear River all my life. The last 28 years, I've been called a Dog of Miscegany and a Blackwater Bastard. And I'm proud of that! I am proud that I am Qarsherskiyan."
