The practice of concealing a weapon, usually a pistol, on your person in public. Laws on concealed carry vary state by state in the US, but most states require one to apply for a permit to concealed carry legally. This is in contrast to "open carry" in which one carries a weapon openly displayed on the person.

Concealed carry affords one the advantage of surprise during a firefight. It also helps avoid unwanted panic or attention from both other civilians and police officers that open carry may create.

Carrying in any way brings a great many new responsibilities, and can easily land one in prison if improperly done. Its important to be knowledgeable on laws for carrying, avoid trouble whenever possible, be hypervigilant of one's surroundings, and train with one's weapon.
Practicing concealed carry brings lots of new responsibilities, but it may save your life one day.

A firearm chamber designed to safely accept both the .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO round. Designed to combine the accuracy of the former with the increased power of the latter. Not to be confused with a .223 Remington chambered weapon, which can only safely accept .223 Remington rounds.

Functions similarly to a 5.56 chamber in terms of what can be fired from it.

A weapon magazine designed to hold a large number of cartridges (bullets). There is no official standardization on what constitutes “high capacity”, but more liberal states such as California and Maryland seem to argue it’s anything over 10 rounds.
The AR-15s 30 round mag is not a high capacity magazine, but actually it’s standard magazine capacity.

A protruding, angled handle typically found beneath rifles and other long guns, designed to increase ease of handling and comfort of the firearm.
The handle looks and functions just as if one were holding a pistol, hence its name. They are commonly found on AR and AK style weapons, but are used on a great many other firearms.
Gun control advocates typically target pistol grips with legislation, claiming to make the weapon more “military style” or deadly.

One may have trouble getting weapons in strong gun control states such as California and New York.
Pistol grips are a common feature on weapons such as the AR-15z
