This used to be a sign for the Roman Godess of love, Venus. NOT a Satanic symbol, because the Pentagram was simply stolen and flipped upside down.

Not to be confused with Arthur Pendragon.

Look at Matthew K. Heafy the lead singer of Trivium. He sometimes wears an shirt with a Pentagram on the back. Like at the 2005 Download festival.
