Tropical Punch

v. To be punched by a tropical person (Namely a Pacific Islander) - Common occurance in lower socio-economic metropolitan areas of New Zealand during the evening hours on either a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday when excessive amounts of alcohol are consumed by the populus. More often than not a tropical punch is completely unexpected and unprovoked.
"I was wandering through the square in Palmerston North the other night and out of no where I received a tropical punch."

Gerald: "Why do you have a shiner?"

Maori Purr

Going cyclic

v. When one pulls frantically at the toilet roll consuming vast amounts of toilet paper. Usually as a result of an unusually untidy faecal event or occurence.

The term originates from the phrase used to describe firing large continuous bursts from a belt-fed automatic weapon, consuming large amounts of ammunition.
Phhhoowww! That was a messy one, I ended up going cyclic.

The poor bugger in the next cubical sounded like he was in a bit of distress, I heard him going cyclic.
