Schrödinship

A romantic relationship that is simultaneously exclusive and non-exclusive, serious and casual, alive and dead, until someone asks, "So what are you two?" At that exact moment, both participants become unable to provide a coherent answer.

A schrödinship is the unique state of being single, taken, hopeful, confused, optimistic, and frustrated all at the same time.

Sarah looked at Jim and asked, "Are you two dating?"

Jim shrugged and replied, "I honestly have no idea. We're in a schrödinship."

HFTW

HFTW - High Functioning Train Wreck. An individual whose life has become overwhelming either through circumstance or actions and is falling apart. Although they give an occasional clue, they appear just fine to their friends and family. They may or may not also be a High Functioning Alcoholic or High Functioning Addict.

"Bill although appearing fine was an HFTW, but no one knew until he stripped naked while playing golf and continued to play violating the dress code. In hindsight, it was clear his life was falling apart.
