Car Show Trophy Whore

Trophy Whore (noun)

In the car scene (especially classic cars, hot rods, customs, and shows), a "car show trophy whore" (or just "trophy whore") is a slang term—often used self-deprecatingly or teasingly—for someone who's heavily into chasing and collecting trophies at car shows.

What it typically means:
They enter a lot of shows specifically to win awards (Best in Show, class wins, people's choice, etc.).

They might haul their car around frequently, polish it obsessively, and get visibly disappointed or vocal if they don't place.
It's similar to "trophy hunter" in gaming: the focus is on racking up wins/awards rather than purely enjoying the hobby, the build, or the social side.

People sometimes use it affectionately about themselves ("The trophy whore is back baby!" after a win) or as light shade toward others who seem overly competitive or sore losers about judging.

It's pretty common banter in car club Facebook groups, forums, and Instagram posts from the scene. Not the most polite term, but it's niche slang, not super serious.

Whenever he gets any awards and trophies, they sucked in the abyss called his "trophy collection"
The Car Show Trophy Whore was baited by a prank award that turned out being a "Proud Trophy Whore" t-shirt. Our hero was swayed by the hopes it was a real trophy thus boosting his pride and arrogance. Upon opening the award, it was discovered there was an elaborate plot to prank the trophy whore. The T.W. quickly embraced the joke and added the trophy whore shirt into the plethora of trophies in their collection.

Thompson Creeper

The Thompson creeper in Thompson, Pennsylvania Lives in myth and legend. All of Susquehanna County and Northeastern Pennsylvania have heard rumors and stories of his existence. Some say it is very much like the bigfoot sightings throughout the United States.

On dark starless nights you can hear him
and his screeching yowel, in the distance. It is best to get indoors if you hear his call. Like the legends of sasquatch, there are no very clear distinct pictures of the creeper. No game camera has captured a clear image of his likeness. The stories of the Thompson creeper date back to the 1880s when the railroads used to be shuttling coal and lumber through the region.
I exited the cabin to use the outhouse at midnight and immediately came back inside. "I think I just heard the Thompson Creeper howling in the distance."
