Someone who believes that gender dysphoria is necessary to be transgender. May or may not be trans themselves. An alternative term for truscum.

Transmedicalist ideology is thought to be gate keeping by tucutes.

A highly offensive slur for transgender women that implies trans women are men.

Shemale is a slur and should never be used.

transsexual

A transgender person who has undergone sex reassignment surgery. Usually of a binary gender. This term is considered outdated.

She was assigned male at birth, and identifies as a transsexual woman.

A transgender woman, short for male-to-female. Considered incorrect by some, because it implies that trans women were originally men, which is considered cissexist.

Person 1: She's MTF trans?
Person 2: She doesn't like the term MTF, just use trans woman.

A transgender man, short for female-to-male. Considered incorrect by some, because it implies that trans men were originally women, which is considered a cissexist notion.

Person 1: He's FTM trans?
Person 2: He doesn't like the term FTM, just use trans man.

genderfluid

Someone whose gender changes over time. Does not necessarily have to be a boy or girl, can be a mix of the two, neither, or something else entirely. Often confused for having a fluctuating gender presentation, or fluctuating levels or femininity/masculinity/androgyny.

I am genderfluid, I am a girl some days and a boy other days.
