clubbing
Participating, individually or with a group, in the more active aspects of urban nightlife. Term encompasses both dancing and non-dancing participation, sexualized and non-sexualized, and usually refers to large, perception- or mood-altering venues. Suggests, but does not imply, the use of drugs or alcohol. Can be applied, though only loosely, to clubs in the suburbs.
legitimish
Approximately legitimate (with either positive or negative connotation); marginally acceptable but shady; dubious but still acceptable. (Often accompanied by a "so-so" hand gesture, like a one-handed "jazz hands" with the palm downward.)
1. The numbers on this sales sheet may be sketchy, but the report's still totally legitimish. 2. "And did you *read* that report?" "Yeah (*snicker*) -- it was, um, legitimish."
