Mathematics

A subject taught in school. It is the study of numbers and how they work. Shortened to "maths" in England or "math" in America. Many people hate it but some people (like me) love it. It is a requirement in the UK for most jobs.
Teacher: "You must pass your mathematics GCSE, or you won't get a job."
