Back-of-the-Mask Thinking

When the crisp-and-crude method of calculation, which yields an approximate instead of an exact answer to a problem, is done on a mask rather than on an envelope or a napkin.
With billions of people wearing a face mask to shield themselves against the coronavirus, the back-of-the-mask thinking is a lifelong guesstimation skill math teachers and tutors worldwide ought to promote to students during this pandemic crisis.

Psalm 2

The second book of Psalms warns both nations and rulers of two choices: defy God and perish, or depend on Him and prosper—those who are against Christ, God’s Anointed, will be frustrated and crushed, but those who surrender to Him and serve Him can rejoice with trembling.
If only nations, groups, and individuals that are against Christ and hell-bent to harming or destroying Christians and Jews worldwide grasp the meaning of Psalm 2, they’d know that their words and curses and actions would only lead them to more physical or financial pain and suffering, spiritual confusion, and eternal condemnation—those who defy God and His Kingdom in Jesus Christ would be broken, but those who surrender to Him would be blessed.

Native Math

A math theorem, formula, or method that originates from a particular country—for example, a deductive proof in plane geometry is unmistakably Greek, while a visual proof has a Chinese or Indian flavor.
In this age of regional or international collaboration among members of the mathematics community, when co-authoring a journal article often involves contributors of different nationalities, we can only expect native math to be the odd one in a sea of even hybrids.

Covid-91

The spiritual antidote to being protected from Covid-19—with reference to Psalm 91 in the Bible, which believers faithfully use as an effective prayer of protection against any plague or pestilence that confronts them.
Christians know that Covid-91 is no match to any man-made antibodies or vaccines in protecting them against Covid-19, because whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and that He is their refuge and their fortress and will save them from any deadly pestilence.
