An excuse told in form of an explanation. Like when a woman tells her man that this other guy is just a friend or that she has a headache when you’re trying to smash.

A little lie, like the little pig Piglet, that does not affect the person being told. As in someone saying they are almost there but have not even gotten in to their car yet.
