the time it takes (Measured in seconds) for something to reach 60mph from a standing start.

Contrary to popular belief, most cars cannot achieve such speeds. There is only enough fuel in the car for a test run, and the driver is an expert who builds up the revs and then releases at just the right time (too much and he gets some wheel-spain). No consideration is given as to whether the clutch lasts the test.
0-60 times are innacurate, and you should typically add 20% of that time on for a realistic pull-off.

x marks the spot

What is said upon finding your target has been marked out. Derived from an X on pirate treasure maps. The phrase was put into common usage by the British army, who performed executions by marking a piece of paper with a black x and positioning it on the heart of someone sentenced to death.

The acting officer would say "X marks the spot" and the firing squad would shoot the x.
X marks the spot, so let's go and dig up treasure.

credit card

a) A plastic card that allows you credit from a large company to buy things. This is to given back at the end of each month. Unfortunately, failure to pay results in interest.

b) A piece of hose and a bucket. Those hose is slipped into the fuel tank of a vehicle, and someone sucks out the fuel into the bucket. It is so-called because it is a way of "paying for fuel". A credit card or cash is needed to buy fuel, and here a "credit card" is the method.
