1)To become fearful of your surroundings or present situation unreasonably. (Frequently drug induced).
2)To make bizarre decisions out of worry for the highly improbable.

It was clear from Timmy's inability to make eye contact and his irritability that he was in the midst of a turk-out (/had turked-out/ was turking-out).

Wipe out

1) Someone who is currently high on Ecstasy ( usually behaving in a fashion to make this abundantly apparent)
2) Someone who regularly takes Ecstasy

Clarke was an obvious wipe out as he continued to munch on his already haemorrhaged inside lip whilst moving his arms like a deranged windmill.
