Global Defense Inititive

One of two fighting factions in the Command & Conquer series of games. Generally considered "the good guys," GDI takes it upon themselves to keep peace in the world while keeping the Brotherhood of Nod in its place.
General Shephard runs the Global Defense Initiative while Kane runs the Brotherhood of Nod.

Westwood Studios

A now-defuncted video game company which was, in the end, purchased by an aggressive bidding by EA Games/Electronic Arts. They created games that impressed players and critics alike, such as Command & Conquer, Nox, Lands of Lore, and Dune. Their last known game was Command & Conquer: Renegade(2002).
"Man, it's too bad EA bought out Westwood Studios."
"Yeah. . . I was hoping for a Red Alert 3 or Tiberian Twilight."

Aftermath

The second and final Command & Conquer: Red Alert add-on which adds powerful units like Chrono Tanks, Tesla Soldiers, M.A.D. Tanks, and other such marvels into the game, in addition to adding even more missions to this already wonderful game. Can be stack-installed with Counterstrike.
"So, Aftermath is the last Red Alert 1 add-on?"
"I'm afraid so."
