An acronym standing for "I Reject The Premise." When you don't disagree with someone over the specifics or logic of their argument, but with the entire premise their argument is based on. Useful both for getting out of unanswerable question traps and for defining the real basis for your disagreement with other people.

Retro + faux, something which references a fake/non-existent past. Used to describe an object or especially a place/area which is made to evoke a version of the past which only ever existed in popular imagination and not in reality.
