A polictical disease which causes a candidate to be on all sides of an issue, particularly involving policy affecting millions of people. The condition usually becomes evident over time as the afflicted politico gathers more polling data and "etch-a-sketches" his/her way to more popular positions despite the inconsistency with prior statements.
