Plumbergine is a particular set of shades of purple sitting between Plum and Aubergine (eggplant). The name was said to have been coined by designers to avoid having to refer to colors as plums or using the word Aubergine/eggplant which is associated with emojis used for sexual references.
The new office was painted using tones of plumbergine for the walls and ceiling.
Eric referred to the purple colours chosen by the designer and said he liked Dirk's plums. This led to hysterical laughter from the team. Since then everyone has called those colors Plumbergines.
