Financial Fetishism

Phenomenon typically observed in socioeconomically privileged individuals in which the existential emptiness plaguing their souls manifests as the impulsive spending of money on useless yet strangely specific products and activities with no practical use or benefit except to act as an outlet for their philosophical or sexual frustrations.
Once above a certain tax bracket, people are susceptible to financial fetishism.
