hedonic treadmill
Being accustomed to wasting money for hedonic purposes (e.g. buying souvenirs, going to cinema every week), that it eventually drains your money
Every time I go on vacation, I blow my budget on souvenirs and fancy dinners. It's like I'm on a hedonic treadmill, and my wallet is feeling it!

gaslighting
When I told him I didn't like the way he spoke to me, he just laughed and said I was being too sensitive. That's classic gaslighting.

screen time fallacy
The misconception that a robot or AI's behavior can be attributed to excessive "screen time", similar to how it affects human children, ignoring the fundamental differences in programming, autonomy, and design between machines and humans. It's just a matter of coincidence that such humanoid robot was conceived and "born" at a lab with as many screens as a sci-fi spaceship.
Blaming the humanoid robot's inappropriate actions on a 'screen time fallacy' is just ridiculous; it’s not like it was sitting in front of an iPad binging brainrot contents!

winter
A period of time where everyone realizes that AI isn't quite as amazing as they thought it was, leading to a massive drop in funding, research, and general hype. Usually happens after a lot of promises are made that AI can't deliver on (yet), and people get tired of waiting. Can last for years, leaving AI researchers feeling cold and broke.
After self-driving cars started crashing into everything, we entered a new AI winter, and all the AI startups went belly up faster than you can say 'algorithmic bias'.

complex behavior
When an AI tries too hard to be smart, resulting in hilariously dumb, repetitive, or just plain wrong actions. Think of a supposedly advanced enemy AI that gets stuck on a rock, endlessly repeats the same attack animation, or runs away from the player for no reason. Often caused by overly complicated behavior trees or state machines that the devs didn't fully test.
That boss was supposed to be a strategic genius, but his complex behavior just made him run into walls and heal me instead of attacking – total artificial stupidity!
