A cute, psychic-steel type Pokémon of the Wish classification. This legendary Pokémon wakes up for a week once every 1,000 years if sung to in a voice of purity and will make any wish come true if it is written on the notes attached to its head when it wakes up. Because of this, Jirachi is also known as the Wishmaker. While asleep, a crystalline shell surrounds its body and it will fight if it senses danger.

In battle, Jirachi wields the ability Serene Grace, which doubles the chance of the secondary effect of an attack to occur. It's trademark move, Doom Desire, works in the same way as Future Sight and is learned at level 50 in the third generation Pokémon games and at level 70 in the fourth generation games.

Jirachi is also a trophy and a Poké Ball Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It will stay on stage for a second or to and then fly off, dropping several stickers for the player to grab.
I'm so lucky to get the Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc. Now I can finally get Jirachi on my Sapphire game!

It can also be found in Eterna Forest in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl if a Pokémon LeafGreen game is inserted into the DS's GBA slot. It can hardly move so Kakuna can only protect itself by hardening its shell or extending its poison barb.

Kakuna can only learn Harden but it can know Poison Sting and String Shot if it was evolved from a Weedle at level 7 or higher. It evolves to the Poison Bee Pokémon, Beedrill, at level 10.
