An intended improvement that makes something worse. Compound of ‘improve’ and ‘ruin’. See also ‘schlimmbesserung’.

When they paved paradise and put up a parking lot, that was an impruinment.

Bumpocket

An annoying person. References the back pocket in a pair of trousers. Anything kept in it is annoying when you sit down.
