To display negative emotions in a very public manner. Derived from the American mythical creature of a Squonk who is so self-conscious that whenever it is seen by another animal it dissolves in its own tears.

The opposite of thugging it out.

I couldn't take it anymore man, I got that text and I just started to squonk it out.
