Flipping past a channel with something bizarre or interesting on it, then flipping back to it to see if you really saw what you thought you did.

I was channel surfing today when I saw a flash of a dancing bear. I had to do a TV Double Take.

I was channel surfing the other day when I caught a glimpse of a two headed mule. I had to do a TV double take.
