When someone says something so absurd that everyone has to pause for a moment and look in disgust, usually associated with the record scratch sound effect.

The act of fake laughing or cracking a bad joke in an attempt to get others to laugh for ones own attention/amusement

"Joey ended up Laugh Baiting the entire group while trying to play-off a record scratch moment!"
