Inspecting your phone screen for scuzz (the built-up film of oil and grime), usually by breathing on it or tilting it toward a light. Often followed by immediate regret and a wipe.

The invisible film of skin oil, makeup, dust, and grime that builds up on your phone screen from daily use. Everyone has it. You're reading this through it right now. Visible via the fog test: breathe on your screen — the ghost patterns in the fog are your scuzz.
