Brotherhood Wink

A knowing glance from a person you have been inadvertently thrown into a situation with - to signal that you they are on your side.

Man, I was so scared walking through Chapeltown in Leeds but then one of the gangsters gave me a brotherhood wink and I didn't feel threatened anymore. I could chill.
