Short for Neurotic Middle-Aged Woman. Whenever a task needs to be done, occasionally within a short time period, these women will take it upon themselves to act stressed out and force a sense of urgency on anyone they come into contact with. You can generally find them in management positions and housewives obsessed with perceptions of themselves.
This behavior is not exclusive to women though other people will mimic the behavior of the NMAW regardless. NMAWs can also spread their behavior to people who normally do not exhibit neuroticism.
