when you have a criminal case pending, and instead of making a plea deal with the prosecutor, you take your chances by going all the way to trial.

guy: man they offered me 3 years.
girl: are you going to take it?
guy: naw, imma take it to the box

a person who makes it his daily job to be a hater. spends all of his time hatin on other people, and does it proffessionally.

amy: don't worry about that. he's just a hater.
roger: more like a proffessional hater. he dont do nothin else.
