Aramaic

Ancient semitic language. A language spoken by Jesus. Today, a dialect known as Syriac is used by the Syriac-Orthodox Church and many christian inhabitants of Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Israel.

Jesus spoke Aramaic.
