The use of overly logical explanations, with awkward pauses, to explain everyday occurrences without regard to personal feelings. In reference to Temperance Brennan of the television show Bones.

Person 1: The elevator is stuck again.
Person 2: I told Ralph...that given the current occupancy of the elevator...his additional weight might...exceed the limits. But he got..on anyway.
Person1: Stop bonesin' it. Just call Maintenance.
