The mascot of Portland State University; home of the Vikings. He is the only “tough” division 1 mascot in the state of Oregon where someone used to think a beaver or a duck was tough.

Victor E. Viking first appeared back in 1946 where the character was simply a student dressed in Viking era clothing on the sideline of Portland State football games. Today, Victor E. Viking is a full featured mascot costume who’s found roaming around the 46 acre campus of Portland State or on the sidelines of Portland State athletic events interacting with fans.
