Originally the term referred to stealing condiments, skymall magazines and safety demonstration cards from airliners. Over time, the meaning has extended out towards thievery carried out during any form of locomotion.

Coined by Ned of the try guys on the try pod, is a combination of the words "space" and "pocket" and is usually referring to a place or region. First used when talking about their tour in Philidelphia.

Philidelphia is a nice little spocket of America.
