informed ignorance

The seemingly oxymoronic state one holds after being briefed on an important issue that they themselves recognize as deserving of further investigation, and then having made the conscious decision not to learn anything more about it.
Example 1.
Dude A: Hey dude, wanna go to that lecture on the ongoing genocide in Darfur?
Dude B: Nah, no thanks dude. I'm happy with my informed ignorance.

Example 2.
Hippies often try to make you feel guilty about your own informed ignorance.

Informed by Facebook

Achieving knowledge about your friends or family through Facebook, whether accidental or on purpose, that you otherwise did not know. Such information is almost always upsetting because regardless of the subject, you probably take exception that you were not personally made aware of what you found.
-'Did you hear that your ex is dating some college dude?'

-'Yah, right. (pause) Where did you here that?'

-I was informed by Facebook. Here, lemme pull up here account. There is a picture of them kissing on his campus. In fact, it's both of their profile pix.

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.
