Cordon Sanitaire

From the French 'sanitary cordon', the meaning of CORDON SANITAIRE varies by vernacular context as follows:
1) In medicine, CORDON SANITAIRE is the restriction of movement of people into or out of a defined geographical area, such as a neighborhood, town, region, or country, originally denoting a barrier used to stop the spread of infectious diseases. See Example 1.

2) In politics, CORDON SANITAIRE is the refusal to cooperate with certain political parties. Often this is because the targeted party has an ideology perceived as unacceptable or extremist. See Example 2.
3) In international relations, CORDON SANITAIRE is used generally to describe a set of buffer states that form a barrier against a larger, ideologically hostile state and specifically as a metaphor for ideological containment referred to "the system of alliances instituted by France in post-World War I Europe that stretched from Finland to the Balkans" and which "completely ringed Germany and sealed off Russia from Western Europe, thereby isolating the two politically 'diseased' nations of Europe", the latter being the phrase's paramount use. In this sense, CORDON SANITAIRE is synonymous with the term 'limitrophe state(s)'. See Example 3.
Example 1: If turds were used as brick and mortar, the White House could erect a CORDON SANITAIRE surrounding Washington, D.C. to protect the nation's capital from COVID-19, thusly protecting Emperor Donniegog Turdstain from the virus--not to mention building His Excellency's 'Immigrant Wall w/ Mexico' at the cost of spent waste.*
Example 2: Despite endangering the U.S. (and world) on a daily basis, perpetrating crimes of treason, running candidates on a platform of hate and National Socialistic dogma, the Democratic Party refuses to place a CORDON SANITAIRE around the Republican Party in order to stymie the GOP's Moscow-supported, FSB-assisted, ongoing coup d'état of the U.S. government and concomitant levers of power with such an encirclement simultaneously fending off neo-fascist efforts at destroying democratic institutions both nationally and globally.

Example 3: Should current political and socio-economic trends in the U.S. continue, the Dominion of Canada will be forced to consider creating a CORDON SANITAIRE with her southerly neighbor in the good faith of shielding her denizens from the USA influenza strain, the first isolated flu varietal known to cause shear stupidity, inexplicable gullibility, and general ignorance in over 95% of observed patients.

*Please note: 'Spent waste' does NOT refer to Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, or radioactive waste. Preemptive apology for any confusion this may have caused to sufferers of USA flu or the organically smooth brained.

Serial Monogamist

Someone who jumps from one relationship immediately into another one.

Serial monogamists can not stand to be alone and often suffer from vast commitment and insecurity issues.

Because they jump into relationships immediately after the previous one has ended, serial monogamists typically don't take the time to reflect on their behavior or why their previous relationships failed; thus, they end up making the same relationship mistakes over and over again.
Person 1: Damn, Dustin already has a new girlfriend?! It's only been two weeks since he broke up with his fiance! I think he's a sociopath.

Person 2: No, he's a serial monogamist...
