squashed fly biscuits

another name for fruit shortcake biscuits, a biscuit containing fruit and sugar. the fruit has the appearance of squashed flies when baked into the biscuit, hence the name.

henery: would you like a biscuit?

charlie: yes please

henery: squashed fly biscuits or garibaldi?

charlie: squashed fly biscuit please. i hate garibaldi's.
